Whether you are a visitor to the Village or a long time resident, we want to welcome you to our services and activities at Village United Methodist Church. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our schedule has been altered significantly. We do strive to offer something for everyone. Have a question you don’t see the answer to here? Email or call us! We are happy to answer any questions you may have!
What time is worship?
Due to precautions taken in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we currently offer one indoor service in our fellowship hall on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. and one outdoor worship service on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on the north lawn of the church. This is a large grassy area between our church and Regions Bank. We also offer an online service at 11:00 each Sunday morning. To attend either the indoor service at 9:00 or the outdoor service at 10:00, reservations are required, as we must limit the number of people in attendance at each one. Social distancing protocols are practiced, and masks will be required. At the indoor service, masks must be worn the entire time you are in the building. At the outdoor service, you may remove them after the hymns. Please bring your own lawn chairs to that service. The church bathrooms are not accessible for either of these 30 minute in-person services. To make a reservation for either the outdoor or indoor service, go to our Home Page and click on the reservation button. For those who do not wish to attend a service in-person, we also offer an online service at 11:00 each Sunday morning. Go to www.facebook.com/hsvumc/ for the online service. You do NOT need a Facebook account to login.
What about Sunday School?
Due to concerns related to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are not meeting in person for Sunday School. The Explorer's Sunday School class is currently meeting on Zoom each Sunday afternoon at 4:00. Go to the following link to join:

Do you have a dress code?
No! For our outdoor service, we highly recommend that you dress comfortably, as the weather dictates, as will the pastor and any church staff in attendance. We want you to be as relaxed as possible.
To Parents with children (of any age):
When we are able to meet in-person again, we will provide details on our nursery and Sunday School classes for children of all ages. In the meantime, you are welcome to bring them to either of our Sunday morning in-person services. Don't forget to make a reservation, though, as we need to know how many in your family are coming!
